The Murray County Board of Commissioners met on Tuesday, October 18. The warrants were reviewed and approved for payment. Several ditch bills were presented and were also approved by each commissioner for those in their particular district. The fourth payment to Dave Hulstein Excavating for work on County Ditch #61 was approved. The repair of the roof project of the government center was approximately $1,700 more than the estimated cost. Some extra expense was incurred during the project for plumbing.
Auditor/treasurer Heidi Winter reported on the large number of early ballots and registrations the office has received to date. There are close to 5,000 residents registered.
Howard Konkol’s ditch report included repair on Judicial Ditch #14 for Beaver dam in the open ditch Section 18 in Leeds Township and also a broken tile in Section 20, Leeds Township. Both were approved for repair.
