Our Second Harvest Heartland food truck will be delivering to your local food shelf this coming Thursday, October 27 around 9:15 am. If you can come and help unload and/or shelf products, the help is much needed and appreciated.
We can only order certain products from SHH so we are always in need of a few extra items. The chucky soups that can make a meal with rice or potatoes is always a favorite. Also beef or chicken stews and anything that makes a good hearty meal when our weather
promises to get colder. Right now we have tomato soup, green beans and all other beans
in an abundant supply. We don’t want them to become outdated. So hold off on those items if you can. Of course, we will take them if you too have an abundant supply.
We have had a few produce items donated such as squash, potatoes, carrots, cukes. Fresh produce is always appreciated but is hard to store in our small area. Please call me first to see what we can use.
We would also like to thank Vitality Fitness for their collection and donation of 198 pounds of food. That took us awhile to shelf but makes the shelves look great.
If anyone wants to conduct a food drive with their organization and have questions, please
call me at 425-2211. I have some ideas and would love to share them.
Remember the SHH food truck on Thursday. See you there.
Thanks for all your support.
