A $2,000 donation was made to Maple Lawn Senior Care Center this past week from the Maple Lawn Pink Ladies Organization.
The monies are to be divided in half with $1,000 for purchasing furniture for the Family Room and $1,000 to be used by the Activities Department for their needs.
Every month, the Pink Ladies host Bingo, celebrate each resident’s birthday with cake and ice cream and a birthday card. They also spend at least ten minutes each and every month visiting residents in their rooms.
Along with the monthly activities, Maple Lawn Pink Ladies have a Flower Garden Committee who care for the gardens around the Care Center, as well as hosting both the Residents Christmas Party and the Personnel Christmas Party.
Pink Ladies members attend the January Maple Lawn Board Meeting to report to the board about their activities throughout the past year.
The Maple Lawn Pink Ladies organization currently has 34 active members and 22 honorary members.
