On Saturday, December 3rd, the wrestlers embarked on their first tournament of the year down to Okoboji, Iowa. We had five wrestlers 
attend the tournament, with three 7th graders stepping up to get experience at the varsity level.
One of our 7th graders at 106 lbs is Dawson Blankenship he had an impressive first round match against Ashford Williamson from Okoboji. He started the first period with an 8-0 lead and half way through the 2nd period he made the fall in 2:42. Christian Kuball at 126 lbs had his first varsity match against Zak Stanton. Christian lost an early takedown in the first period, and fought hard but took a loss by fall. At 138 lbs we had Keagan Benke, he also is a 7th grader, working hard to get a takedown was stopped short by fall against Kolton Roth (GT/RA).
