In the Village election – Harold Haar was elected as Clerk; Marvin Heinrichs won the Trustee position; and, in a close race for Constable Leo Leinen nudged out Joe Schindler by 5 votes.
The Fulda Raiders won their second Seven Star Conference game as they defeated Mountain Lake on Friday 56-45. Leading the Raiders was Rick Wendorf with 27 points followed by Ron Kellen with 12.
Sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Guild whose 2 1/2 year old son, Jeffrey, passed away suddenly on Sunday. The child ate breakfast, then complained of a headache. He was taken to the hospital and was being transferred to Sioux Falls when he passed away. An autopsy revealed the child had acute spinal meningitis.
An open house will be held on Dec. 12 at the Fulda Grade School primarily to have parents, grandparents and friends observe the changes that took place during the past few years.
Charles D. Stock has been elected as president of the Fulda C & C. The vice president and secretary positions have been combined with Joe Fazendin serving in that capacity. Rex Wordelman was elected Treasurer.

Catherine Schneider laid to rest on Saturday. Catherine passed away on December 1st at the age of 79 years old.

A tragic accident on Wednesday, November 26th, has claimed the life of a former Fulda area woman. Kristine Hermeling, 20, was killed when the car she was driving rear ended a stalled combine.
The Fulda City Council opened with their premier night for Cable T.V. The meeting was taped and will be run on Channel 7 on Thursday.
Pastor Gordon Peterson has accepted the call from Immanuel American Lutheran Church of rural Fulda and began ministry there as of December 1st.
Fish-A-Rama has been postponed from December 5th to January 9th.
Citizens of Tomorrow include Tabitha and Brock Johlfs; Matthew and Elizabeth Witzel; and Kristin and Aaron Crowley.
Florence Osborne passed away on November 29th at the age of 76 years old.
Robert Gilbertson passed away on November 27th at the age of 71 years old.

Majority Leader Ted Winter said today that he is working for federal emergency relief for areas in Southwestern Minnesota damaged by recent severe storms. A letter has been sent to President Clinton asking for help in rebuilding the infrastructure after the power outages in our area.
The city of Fulda is looking at a cost of $30,000 plus the possible removal of 86 trees due to the recent ice storm. The cost estimate includes removal, cleanup, stump removal and replacement of trees planted.
Santa is set to arrive in Fulda on Saturday.
A ribbon cutting for the Fulda Park sidewalk will be held on Saturday.
A two story house owned by Greg Mathias located one mile west of Dundee burned to the ground on Thanksgiving Day. Responding to the blaze were the fire departments from Dundee and Fulda.
A Native American Holiday Concert to be presented at the Worthington Memorial Auditorium on Dec. 13 and 14 featuring Steve Lynn and Paul Summers.
Melissa Beerman and Ryan Elder were united in marriage on June 29th at Church of Christ in Worthington.
