The Fulda Raiders used a balanced scoring attack Tuesday night in Ellsworth to defeat the Panthers 66-45. Once again the Raiders started out slow and had to work their way out of an early hole to get back into the game.
McKenzie Evers provided a spark in the first half by hitting three 3-pointers and scoring 11 points. Although the raiders took the win by 21 points, it wasn’t that easy. The panthers scrapped and hung around as much as they could throughout the game making the Raiders work hard all night.
Devin Dreesen led them with 18 points followed by Hannah Kramer, their lone senior, with 10.
The Raiders had three players in double figures on the night, Randi TIesler (12), Mckenzie Evers (11), and Emily Schroer (10). The raiders also received solid games from Courtney Zins with 15 rebounds and Kennedy Deuschle with nine points.
The Raiders are now 2-2 (1-1 conference).

Falcons too much for hometown Fulda Raiders
by Sam Lynn
Sports Reporter
Fulda did everything they could to compete with the Red Rock Central Falcons Thursday night. Although the Raiders never led throughout the game, they kept the pressure on the falcons and finished the first half on a run to go into the locker room with only a five-point deficit. But the Falcons showed why they are one of the top teams in the conference and countered every move the raiders made. Two points was the closest the Raiders came to taking the lead at the 16:43 mark in the second half. At the eight-minute mark, the Falcons held an eight point lead and their two best all-around players (Rachel Kedl and Ramsey Piotter) put the game away. Kedl finished with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Piotter stuffed the stat sheet and finished with 18 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and three steals.
The Raiders were led by Randi Tiesler, 24 points (four three’s, four steals), Emily Schroer with 14 points, and Courtney Zins with 11 rebounds.
The Raiders are 2-3 on the season (1-2 conference).
