You might notice the Second Harvest Heartland food truck will be in Fulda Thursday, December 22. As you probably remember the Fulda school gathered and donated 1500 plus pounds which was delivered on the 15th. The donation was a wonderful gift and will be used for quite some time. But the SHH delivery will be bringing perishables which we can give out from our freezer and refrigerator.
As you can imagine, the delivery of 1500 pounds was almost overwhelming. We had boxes on most of the floor but had good help so unloading, sorting and putting away was done before noon. A big thank you to our school students for all their work, and extra work by Mr. Mike Pagel and the FFA students. Also helping with this no small task was Randy Kremer, Loren and Ruth Carlson, Rona Brown, Gwen Hartlep and Syd Halverson. Thanks to all.
Remember we are open on Monday, December 19, from 2-3 p.m. and again on Monday, December 26, from 6-7 p.m.
Our local food shelf wishes to thank our community for their generosity with all the donations of money and food products. It’s amazing how we all pull together when needed. So Merry Christmas and the best of New Year’s from all of us at the Fulda Food Shelf.
