District 4 Commissioner Glenn Kluis was elected chairman for the Murray County Board of Commissioners for 2017 at their meeting on January 3. Commissioner Gerald Magnus is the new vice chairman. Before the election new commissioner Lori Gunnink was sworn in by Sonja Kruger Murray County Court Administrator. James Jens – District 1 Commissioner and Dave Thiner District 5 also responded to the oath of office.
Warrants were presented by Heidi Winter, auditor/treasurer. She expressed thanks for having been given additional time to prepare the list. The warrants were approved with little discussion.
