Camryn Baumhoefner, a  Nobles County 4-H member, had the opportunity to attend the inauguration of President Donald Trump. She was one of 45 Minnesota 4-H members who was selected to attend through the Minnesota 4-H Citizenship Washington Focus: Presidential Inauguration Program.

On Monday, January 16th, Baumhoefner traveled to Minneapolis to stay overnight for an early morning flight to Washington, D. C.  The Minnesota 4-H members participated in a group event that evening. “We were up at 3:30 a.m. to get to the airport. Take off was supposed to be at 7:30 a.m., but there was ice on the plane and they had to de-ice it. I had never flown before, but it was a pretty good flight,” Baumhoefner stated.

Upon arriving in Washington, D.C., the 4-H members boarded a charter bus  and soon arrived at the 4-H National Convention Center. They were settled into their rooms at the Convention Center and then joined together for an evening meal.
