Fulda traveled to Mountain Lake on Friday evening. The Wolverines, coming off a loss to Red Rock Central, looked to get back in the win column as the Raiders visited.
MLBO’s Menken Boys each claimed 19 points in the contest to help the Wolverines cruise past Fulda 82-59.
The Wolverines claimed the first points in the game as Stoesz hauled in a steal and turned it into two points. Matthias Kunerth headed to the corner and launched a three for Fulda’s first points of the game. Brandon Everett connected on his shot to give Fulda the one point edge and with a couple of added free throws by Leighton Gehl, the Raiders claimed a 7-4 lead early in the contest.
MLBO headed to the hoops for 16-1 run to claim an 18-8 advantage. Fulda’s Leighton Gehl was able to help his home team as he drained a shot. Two more scores from the Wolverines extended their lead 22-10.
Back-to-back scores from Dalton Slinger cut the Wolverine advantage to single digits, 15-23. MLBO countered with a three and shot in the paint. Justin Dierks found a lane to the hoop for the Raider score and later Ben White connected on his shot, 20-32.
