Peter and Krista Beerman have decided to put down their roots and make Slayton their home. In doing so, they have decided their venture needed a little challenge – or maybe a big challenge depending how you look at it. The Beerman’s purchased The Vine, formerly owned by Debbie Peterson, on Broadway Avenue in Slayton.
Talks first began last fall after the couple had moved to Slayton. Debbie approached Krista and asked if they might be interested in purchasing The Vine. Peterson had decided she wanted to spend more time with her family.
Peter and Krista moved to Slayton at the beginning of September 2016. “We really wanted to be closer to family,” explained Peter. His parents Dan and Linda Beerman farm near Iona so Peter returned from Colorado to southwest Minnesota with the idea he hoped to help his parents on their farm. However, Peter, was actually back and forth between Colorado and Minnesota for approximately six weeks before everything was in place to settle down in Slayton.
