Jerry’s Jottings

Sunday was a stark reminder of what a Minnesota winter is all about. It started slow and lightly building to one our largest snowfalls for the winter. The wind wasn’t a big issue but there was enough to cause respectable drifts and a threat that it could get much worst. The forecast was upgraded several times, one had it at eight to ten inches. The temperature was in the teens. It took all of Monday morning to reclaim our outdoor space. The City of Fulda did a great job of cleaning the streets. Their new used blower loaded trucks much faster than the old way getting the job done in less than half the time. Southwest Minnesota has had a great winter and February was almost a total joy. April is coming very fast and Spring is once again possible.

I was recently on vacation in Maine when I observed a pretty bad car crash between two police patrol cars. The officers were standing around, looking at the damage and they both had a confused look on their faces. I figured that they were trying to figure out what to do because who were they supposed to call, the police?

It is said that if you line up all the cars in the world end to end, someone would be stupid enough to try and pass them.

Have a good week!
