The Fulda boys continued their strong start to the season by winning a triangular vs. Adrian and SWC/Edgerton on Thursday afternoon with chilly conditions in the air.  Cory Renneke shot a season low for him earning himself medalist honors with a 41 on his scorecard.  He finished the round with 1 birdie and 3 pars on his last four holes to finish well.  Aron Hulstein had a strong showing as well finishing one stroke behind Cory earning himself 2nd place in the triangular.  Aron’s round consisted of 3 pars and 6 bogeys for a very consistent round. Payton Marquardt shot a 45 in his 1st varsity round of the season, and  Joe Fischer continued his nice start to the season firing a 46.  Also shooting for the varsity squad was Tyler Madison shooting a 46 as well, and Brandon Everett shot a 50 to round out the squad.  With the triangular win, the Raider boys are now 6-1 on the season with only loss a narrow defeat to a very good Worthington squad.

Saturday on a beautiful spring day, the boys headed to Worthington for an 11 team invite and finished the round in 6th place.  They finished the day shooting a 389, losing to Worthington, JCC, Fairmont, Pipestone, and Windom.   We beat Wabasso, MCC, HBC, MLA, and Adrian.  Justin Dierks led the squad shooting a 94 on his day with a 49 on the front nine, and 45 on the back 9.  Cory Renneke and Brandon Everett both came in with a 98 on the day and Joe Fischer rounded out the consistent scoring with a 99.  Tyler Madison was right behind them with a 100, and Aron Hulstein shot a 111 for the Raider squad.  It was a great day to get out on a challenging course that we are going to see a lot of in the next month with Conference and Section play both at the Worthington Country Club.  We will hopefully be able to take this round and build on it in the coming weeks.  The Raider’s boys have a busy week ahead with a home match Tuesday with TMB, before hitting the road on Thursday and Friday to MCC and Windom.
