Pizzaroni

l pound hamburger        

1/2 teaspoon oregano        

Salt and pepper (to taste)         

2 cups uncooked macaroni        

2 eggs, beaten        

l medium onion, chopped

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

2 small cans tomato sauce

1 cup milk

l cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Brown hamburger with onion, add spices and tomato sauce. Simmer while making crust. Cook macaroni; drain. Stir milk, beaten eggs and 1/2 of the cheese into macaroni. Spread on 2 well butter pie plates. Bake 15 minutes at 350º. Spread beef sauce over macaroni crust and sprinkle the remaining cheese. Bake for 10 minutes more.

Good Keeper Coleslaw

Vegetable Mixture:

8 cups shredded cabbage          

l green pepper, cut in thin strips

2 carrots, shredded          

1/2  cup onion, chopped

Dressing:

1/4 cup cold water

2 teaspoons celery seed

2 envelopes unflavored gelatin

1 1/2 teaspoon salt

2/3 cup sugar

1/4 black pepper

2/3 cup vinegar

2/3 cup salad oil

Mix cabbage, carrots, green pepper and onions.

Soften gelatin in cold water. Mix together sugar, vinegar, celery see, salt and pepper in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; stir in softened gelatin. Cool until slightly thickened. Beat well with a spoon, gradually beat in salad oil. Pour dressing mixture over vegetables and mix until well coated. Beat well with a spoon, gradually beat in salad oil. Pour over vegetables. Cool in refrigerator and stir just before serving. Keeps well for many days if kept in refrigerator.

Melting Pot Bars

l stick margarine        

1 (12 oz.) package chocolate chips

4 tablespoons sugar        

l (12 oz.) package mini M&M’s

1 -1/2 cup graham crackers crushed    

1/2 cup chopped almonds

l can sweetened condensed milk

l 1/2 cups flaked coconut

l (12 oz. ) package butterscotch chips

Preheat oven to 325º. Melt margarine in the oven in a 9 x 13 inch pan.

Mix sugar and graham crackers into the butter and pat down to make a crust. Bake crust for 5 minutes.

Sprinkle coconut over crust, followed by a layer of butterscotch chips, a layer of chocolate chips, a layer of M&M’s and a layer of nuts. Pour the can of sweetened condensed milk over the top of everything.

Bake at 325º for about 20 minutes or until everything has begun to melt together.
