Vincent “Vince” Wallace Sandhurst was born April 24, 1936 in Cottonwood County near Dundee to John and Sadie (Basche) Sandhurst.  He attended grade school in District 59, and later, Fulda High School.  Vince was united in marriage to Marlene Bruns.  This union brought the couple seven wonderful children whom together they raised in the areas of Fulda and Heron Lake.  While in Fulda, Vince worked as a carpenter, and for enjoyment, played old time music with his band, Vince’s Concertina Band.  After his marriage dissolved, Vince moved to New Ulm in 1981 to work at Browns Distributing where he built and engraved concertinas.  Vince married, Marlene (Wahl) Christensen on March 18, 1983.  Together the couple started and operated Sandhurst Creations in New Ulm where many beautiful custom clay and wood creations were made over the years.  From his youth on, music was in Vince’s soul.  This passion and talent for music was a gift that he passed down to his family. His family continues to share their musical gifts with the world today.  His family was truly the most important thing in his life.  He cherished every moment he got to share with them over the years.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.  Blessed be his memory.
