A ten day tour of Venice, Florence and Rome provided many varied experiences for a group of 11 women from Fulda, along with a group of eight women from Windom. On the tour from the Fulda area were Stephanie Strenge, Caitlin Strenge, Taylor Plath, Sara and Logan VandenBosch, Joyce Otkin, Deb Bestge, Beth Kramer, Judy Clarke and Ann and Meg Witzel.
Trip organizers, Stephanie Strenge and Lisa Letcher of Windom, work with Education First to arrange for Adult Tour Trips. This year’s country of choice was Italy. Strenge has been coordinating tours for eight years with five group trips to Italy and Greece, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Ireland, England and Wales, London and Paris with a World War II focus, and now Venice, Florence and Rome.
“When we first started doing adult group tours with Education First, they sent Lisa and I on an orientation trip to Paris,” Strenge stated. “They took us through as though we were on tour so that we could get the pace of a group tour and have a better understanding of what it would be like. When you are on a group tour, you have to keep moving right along with your group.”
