This is a Fish Story! It all started when Herman Uttech talked to Fred Lucht. Herman said to Fred, “It sure would be nice if we could have a mess of bullheads at the Maple Lawn Nursing Home.” So Fred got real busy and talked to several fellows about it and asked for fish skinners. So Emil Sell and Flat Ramert got on their fishing togs and went out to the dam with a small net and got over two hundred bullheads for the fish fry. Ray Cowhick at the Filling Station South furnished 160 lbs of watermellon to go with the fish. No doubt the folks out at the nursing home were more than happy. Nuff said. *Helping the boys out were Bert Wildfeuer, Pet Bruns, Ornie Lucht, Him Hanson, Fritz Reusse, Henry Brinkman, Melvin Peterson and Dave Edwards.
