The windmill at the Fulda Depot received new blades last Thursday, September 14th, thanks to the work of Mr. Pagel’s Ag class. Climbing the ladders to install the new blades were Christian Goedtke, Dalton Slinger and Leighton Gehl. Helping at ground level were Camryn Baumhoefner and Ruby Cardenas.
The windmill formerly dwelled at the John Haseman farm southwest of Fulda and was donated to the Fulda Depot by family members. In 2007 it was restored and refurbished by members of the Fulda Heritage Society and the Fulda High School Ag Power & Mechanics class. Today it proudly stands at the corner of Front Street and Lafayette Ave.
