Have you ever been invited to a Twisted Picnic? That’s what the Fulda school children who attend the Murray County Extension After School Adventures found themselves at on Monday afternoon.
Their snack was a mix of stick pretzels, marshmallows, M & M’s, and Chex Cereal, along with milk.
As they enjoyed their snack, After school Adventures leader, Margie Anderson, explained that they would be working on two crafts with one being a paper plate maze and the other a pop-up Halloween Puppet.
“Listen carefully so that you will know what to do,” Anderson told the participants. “You can take your choice of the paper plate maze or the pop-up puppet to make first. I would like to see you make them both.”
For the paper plate maze, paper plates and straws, along with a wooden marble were passed out. “Have you ever been through a corn maze? They’re lots of fun, aren’t they? Your maze will be made to allow the wooden marble to roll freely from one area of the maze to the next. You will have to cut the straws and then glue them to make your maze,” Anderson instructed the eager crafters.
