Raiders split the week on the road

Raiders vs Wolverines

Raiders overcame a sluggish start and a set one loss (15 – 25)  Tuesday night in Mountain Lake to beat the Wolverines in four games. After set one, it looked like it may be a long night for the volleyball team but they turned it around. Allison Kenney (19-19 serving , six aces) got the Raiders going in set two with four aces to start and they never looked back.  They went on to win the match with three straight set wins, 25-15, 25-13, 25-7. Emily Schroer had 18 set assists and Evany Luna had eight kills and five aces.

Fulda vs MCC

The Raiders traveled to Slayton to face rival MCC Thursday night. MCC immediately grabbed the momentum and used it to sweep the Raiders 25 -16, 25-16 25-18. Camryn Baumhoefner  lead the Raiders with six kills. Kelsey Fuerstenberg and Frances Piper contributed five and four digs. For the Rebels, Laney Brown finished with a stellar 22 digs and Tori Wieneke added 17 set assists. The Raiders are now 2-6 on the season. They host Luverne and HLO Monday and Tuesday and travel to Ellsworth on Thursday.
