The 2017 Minnesota 4-H State Horse Show was held at the State Fairgrounds, September 15-18. Murray County 4-H members who attended were Maggie Heezen, Karlie Heezen, Kennedy Jackels, Danica Jackels, Madelyn Wendland, and Macy Posthuma, Cameron 4-H Club; Cheyenne Hulstein, Chandler Hilltoppers 4-H Club; Brooke Christian, Currie Poco-a-Poco 4-H Club; and Kamryn Chapman, Bondin Belfast 4-H Club. Below are results from the show and judging and hippology contests:
Maggie Heezen (11th grade division) – ninth Showmanship-Western, Third Western Horsemanship, Second Trail Class
Cheyenne Hulstein (ninth grade division) – First Trail Class, Second Showmanship-Western, Fourth Western Pleasure, eighth Western Horsemanship, Fifth Hunt Seat Equitation
Macy Posthuma (ninth grade division) – Third Trail, Second Western Horsemanship, Fourth Hunt Seat Equitation, Fifth Hunt Seat Pleasure
