A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD October 3, 2017

October 3, 2017, 8:30 a.m. Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present: Commissioners Kluis, Magnus, Jens, Gunnink and Thiner. Also, present Ronda Radke and Travis Smith.

MSP to approve the agenda as modified.

MSP to table approving consent agenda item 1 pending further review.

MSP to approve the Commissioners vouchers for September 10, 2017 to September 23, 2017 as reported at the September 26th Commissioner meeting.

MSP and carried that all claims as presented were approved for payment. The Chairman was authorized to sign the Audit List dated October 3, 2017 with fund totals as follows and warrants numbered 153973 through 154026:

County Revenue Fund 23,349.27

County Road & Bridge Fund 6,861.13

Sunrise Terrace 9,137.14

Total 39,347.54

MSP to approve the 2018 Snowmobile Maintenance Grant Agreement (Grant Amount: $30,285.38), further moving to authorize the Board Chair and Auditor-Treasurer to sign the agreement on behalf of the County.

MSP to approve the Conditional Use Permit for #1338 for Edgewater Bay Campground to expand an existing campground by 49 campsites in the Agriculture District, Section 2, Mason Township, with the two special conditions recommended by the Planning Commission. The campground is presently permitted for 74 campsites; after expansion, there will be a total of 123 campsites.

MSP to approve the Board Chair to sign the Minnesota Governor’s Broadband Task Force letter.

MSP to approve the Board Chair to sign the easement agreement with Michael and Julie Nelson for placing the aeration system on their property.

MSP to approve the purchase of the necessary tubing for the aeration system installation on the property of Michael and Julie Nelson.

Open Forum/Public Comment – No members of the public were present.

MSP to approve selling the surplus Highway Departments steel pick up topper, gas chain saw, blade for tractor and spray tank at the Highway 59 Consignment Auction.

MSP to approve selling the surplus aeration equipment on E-bay.
