After a lifetime of collecting a large number of dolls, Fulda’s Babe Bergman has donated several to Fulda Heritage Society.
“I’m cutting back on items in my home,” Bergman said, “so, I’m giving the dolls to Fulda Heritage Society is a good place for them to go to.”
During the past few months, Bergman had distributed about twenty other dolls from her collection to family members. She also sent a few to the Fulda Food Shelf so that young girls could enjoy owning them.
In the collection that she gave to Fulda Heritage Society is a doll that was owned by her mother. The doll has white hair, braided into two pigtails, and she is wearing a pale blue and tan dress.
Another is a large doll that was once owned by Bergman’s sister, Marjorie, who won the doll from one of the drugstores in Fulda when she was a small girls. This two foot tall doll has dark brown hair and is dressed all in pink.
