The Minnesota Twins have announced that ticket prices have been raised for box seats to $3.50 each. All reserved seats will be raised to $2.75 each. General admission seating will remain at $1.50.

Herman Zemler grew an unusual carrot this year with 15 sprouts coming form one core. All 15 sprouts is a normal size carrot.

Mr. and Mrs. George Bremer Jr. are the parents of a daughter, Kimberly, born October 5th. Grandparents are Mrs. George Bremer and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Johannsen.
Funeral services were held Tuesday for Roger Schumacher, 17, who passed away on October 25th.

Fulda Women of Today held a “Wizard of Oz” themed Halloween party for area children. Cast members included LeAnn Enninga as Dorothy, Sheila Beeck as the Tin Man, Shannon Welling as the Cowardly Lion, Darcy Uttech as the Scarecrow, Carol Gresham as the Good Witch, Lisa Brinkman as the Wicked Witch and Ron Gresham as the Wizard.
Evelyn Midgley was given special recognition for one year of perfect attendance at the Fulda Mealsite from Senior Nutrition Services Western Community Action, Inc.
Rex Wordelman will resign from his position on the Fulda City Council as of December 31, 1987.

Farmers helping farmers is the norm in a small community. This week approximately 30 farmers turned out to assist with field work at the Clarence Reith land. Clarence passed away suddenly this fall of a heart attach.
Brummel’s Bakery held a Pumpkin Cake Decorating Contest; winners were Tammy Wenzel, age 8, Chris Magnussen, age 4, and Nicole Paulzine, age 8.

Fulda Women of Today host Halloween Hauntings party with over 75 youth turning out to take part in the fun.
Pacific Telecom, Inc. sets up shop in Fulda with District Manager Mark Tupper opening it’s doors on October 1st.

Maple Lawn Nursing Home to host annual Bazaar on November 8th with beautiful quilts, rugs and decorations.
Joan Janke received a certificate of retirement and farewell from Maple Lawn Nursing Home administrator Arlan Swanson on Friday.
Marietta Jensen passed away October 23rd at the age of 78 years old.
Arthur Sandhurst passed away at the age of 80 years old on October 23rd.
Winning the Fulda Women of Today Scarecrow Contest was Ed and Barb Sandhurst with a front yard theme of “No jumping on the Bed!”.
