Candy collected for the troops

Members from Shetek Dental Care in Slayton and members from the Fulda Area Credit Union hosted their first Candy Buyback for Fulda Elementary School students. Shetek Dental Care has hosted this event at MCC Elementary before and decided this year to bring the event to the Fulda Elementary.

The purpose of the Candy Buyback program is to purge excess candy from kids to support good dental health all while supporting the military troops. Students bring their candy to donate to the troops and they receive $1 for every pound they bring in. There were 17 students that participated from the Fulda Elementary and 47 students from MCC Elementary. Over 130 pounds of candy was collected and will be donated to the military troops!
