Jeff and Michelle Schutz, Fulda, never imagined that their hobby would become a custom sign business that keeps them filling orders on a daily basis.
“I took a couple of classes on sign making and enjoyed it so much. I posted a photo on Facebook of what I had made. We had so many people posting very positive comments, and people asking if I could make one for them. Then we took a few orders for Christmas, and that was fun. We never anticipated that we would become this busy.” Michelle Schutz stated.
Filling order after order, the couple decided to make several of their custom wood signs and attend a few craft shows under the name Schutz Signs. “We went to Moorhead for a show, and then to Sioux City this past spring. We did a show in Rock Valley, and the Slayton Boutique this fall,” the Schutz’ said, naming the shows that they have attended and sold their merchandise at.
