Fulda’s Gerald Bodelson VFW Post 9017 Commander Steve Magnus and Auxiliary President Sophia Hein attended the 3rd District meeting on Saturday in Fairfax, MN.
The Post Commander and the Auxiliary Senior Vice President stressed a need for increased membership at a local level due to the need of support for veterans being bigger than ever before.
Fulda Auxiliary President Sophia Hein, along with each Auxiliary President, gave a report on the accomplishments of their members for the year.
The District President gave a report on the need for ‘shirt protectors’ for all Veterans residing in Nursing Homes. Auxiliary Presidents were requested to take enough material to make seven ‘shirt protectors’. The Fulda VFW Auxiliary was asked to supply the ‘shirt protectors’ for the Veterans Home in Luverne. If you are willing to help with this project by sewing one, or all, the ‘shirt protectors’ the material is at the home of Sophia Hein. Please call Sophia at 425-2019 to set up a time to pick up the materials. The Veterans will thank you for your participation in this project as does Sophia.
