Fulda vs. WWG
The Raider Boys’ Basketball team kicked off the 2018 calendar year by hosting the defending 3A South Section Champions, the WWG Chargers, on January 2nd. The Raiders put up a great effort to challenge the Chargers the entire way, but WWG held on for an 81-78 victory.
Matthias Kunerth led the way for the Raiders with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Dalton Slinger was not far behind scoring 19 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. Payton Marquardt added 15 points and 4 assists, while Leighton Gehl contributed 11 points and 6 assists of his own.

Fulda vs. SWC
The Raiders once again faced another tough opponent in the SWC Eagles to finish off the week. Fulda battled the entire way, but ultimately fell 91-71.
Leighton Gehl led the Raiders with 19 points and 3 assists. Matthias Kunerth and Dalton Slinger each added 14 points of their own.
SWC jumped out to a quick 10-2 lead on the Raiders using their huge height advantage on the inside and their quickness down the court. Their posts were able to get easy position for offensive rebounds putbacks and their guards were able to drive to the basket for layups and kick out 3-pointers. Out of a timeout by the Raiders, they looked to get back into the game.
