An organization that began in Fulda in 1982 under the name O.E.A. (Office Education Association) has changed it’s name to B.P.A. ( Business Professionals of America). Sharon Carroll, advisor and Kris Schmidt, who was instrumental in getting the program into the Fulda school, are actively working together with the students.
Mary Magnus, Mary Ann Boom and Charles Hopkins spent time in Brainard, MN at a leadership training program sponsored by the Blandin Foundation.
Kim Harms has graduated from Watertown Lake Area College with a degree in being a Nanny and will be taking a position with a family in the Cities.
Talcot Lake is open to promiscuous fishing according to the Division of Fish and Wildlife, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

In a closely-contested ball game at Slayton last Saturday evening Fulda out-scored the Wildcats 20-14 in the final quarter to take a 55-50 win. The win ensured Fulda of regaining the “Old Goat” trophy and keeping it at least until next year.
Adella Lundeen, who was suffering from post polio-syndrome, passed away on January 30th at the age of 69 years old.
Ruth Crowley passed away at the age of 73 years old on January 25, 1988.

The Fulda City Council asked the Fulda Police Department for a full history of their activity over the last four years. A question was raised as to why Fulda needs the protection of 3 police officers.
The Fulda High School has been notified it is one of 16 schools to receive grant money from the Minnesota Department of Children, Families and Learning grant program. Of the $803,000 to be distributed, Fulda will receive $78,000 to be used for dial in access to server system, record keeping equipment, office computers and lab supplies as well as software updates.

Winterfest 1998 held at the Fulda High School with dress up days, ice sculpting and dancing. Megan Lubben and Jordan Van Oort were chosen as Jane and Jack Frost.

Warriors easily handle the River Valley Wildcats in 43-18 victory. Highlights include; Phillip Clarke strong arms his opponent and goes on to defeat him in a 5-3 decision; Brian Ackerman lays out Marty Hoffman of River Valley and claimed an 11-3 major decision; and Neil Clarke faced off Greg Hillesheim and won by a 9-1 major decision.
