Carol Dorpinghaus, Eric Miller and Kevin Honius performed with the Minnesota All State Band this past week end.
In celebration of National Future Farmers of America Week, Fulda FFA’ers crowned Carol Dorpinghaus as Senior Sweetheart and Teresa Kass as Junior Sweetheart. Sweetheart candidates included Michele Otkin, Pam Olsem, Tammy Heintz and Julie Kremer. The Dance will be held February 20th.

The Murray County Angels competed in the 1998 Area 8 Special Olympics Unified Bowling Tourney on Saturday in Dawson.
Due to the unusually warm weather, road restrictions for southwest Minnesota will go into effect on February 23.
Barbara (Beckmann) Gibbons spent time at the Fulda schools discussing the customs of Saudi Arabia complete with demonstrations as she dressed her nephew Lance Beckmann in a Kaqiyah an Iqaal for the sixth grade students.
FLASHBACKS features …Heinie Schroeder, meeting the challenges of change. Heinie relates games of his childhood as well as memories of the cafe owned by his family for 28 years. The Schroeder Cafe – where his mother did all the cooking from homemade doughnuts for 5¢ to a t-bone steak dinner for 50¢. And the pie and ice cream for 15¢ was the best.

A Boy Scout Campout was held last weekend by Lake Shetek. Scouts attending included Lucas Kramer, Chris Hawkinson, Dustin Ahlers, Mat Kremer, Brandon Thiner, and Matt Schreiber. The boys learned how to have a good time ice fishing, worked on their project handbooks and learned fire-building skills.
