Fulda Boys play in some high scoring games over past two weeks

Fulda vs. WWG

The Fulda Boys’ traveled to Westbrook on February 1st to take on the Red Rock Conference leading WWG Chargers. The Chargers proved why they are the conference leaders as they defeated the Raiders 90-65.

Levi Spittle led the Raiders with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Dalton Slinger added 17 points, while Leighton Gehl and Matthias Kunerth contributed 7 points each.

Right from the jump, the Chargers went to work against the Raider defense. Quick ball movement and good shot selection propelled them out to an early 17-4 lead, prompting a Raider timeout. The Raiders continued to struggle from the floor for the majority of the first half, as only 3 players were able to score – Spittle, Slinger, and Cory Renneke. WWG continued to push the ball, converting on some layups right before the half to give themselves a 49-20 lead.

The second half saw the Raiders offense able to find the basket as Spittle continued to drive to the basket for 2 points and then knock down a baseline jumper. Kunerth was able to draw some fouls on the Chargers and get to the free throw line. But the Chargers never let the game get under a 20 point deficit the entire second half, as they cruised to a 90-65 victory over the Raiders.
