A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD
March 6, 2018, 8:30 a.m. Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present: Commissioners Kluis, Gunnink, Jens, Magnus and Thiner. Also present Aurora Heard and Travis Smith.
MSP to approve the agenda as modified.
MSP to approve consent agenda item 1 with corrections.
MSP and carried that all claims as presented were approved for payment. The Chairman was authorized to sign the Audit List dated March 6, 2018 with fund totals as follows and warrants numbered 155271-155325:

MSP to approve ditch contractor bills for County Ditches No. 22 and 40 totaling $1,373.23
MSP to call for a special meeting, set for the purpose of conducting 2019 departmental budget talks, for Tuesday July 10th and Wednesday July 11th starting at 8:00 a.m.
MSP to approve the 2016 Audit Report as presented.
MSP to approve Conditional Use Permit #1344, for Glen Schoolmeester, to expand an existing feedlot over 1,000 animal units by constructing a total confinement barn with concrete manure storage pit in the Agriculture District in the N ½ NE ¼, Section 19, Fenton Township and to eliminate special condition number 5 that requires trees because it is taking productive land out of production for the trees.
MSP to approve Conditional Use Permit #1343, for Darin and Shannon Henning to expand an existing feedlot over 1,000 animal units by constructing a total confinement barn with concrete manure storage pit in the Agriculture District in the NE ¼ NW ¼, Section 32, Belfast Township with four special conditions.
Open Forum/Public Comment – No members of the public were present.
MSP to approve closing the meeting pursuant to Minn. Stat. 13.D.05, subdivision 3(b), to communicate regarding a matter that is protected by the attorney-client privilege to receive advice regarding a hostile work environment harassment issue. The subject to be discussed is privileged. The County’s employment counsel, Laurel Pugh, is present via telephone to discuss the matter with the Board.
MSP to approve coming out of closed session.
MSP to approve closing the County Board meeting pursuant to Minnesota Statute 13D.05 Subd. 3. C 3; to consider the purchase of parcel # 20-016-0071 or #20-014-0060 or #20-016-0050.
MSP to approve coming out of closed session.
MSP to offer Kevin Nelson to purchase twenty (20) acres at a price per acre of $25,000 for parcel number 20-016-0071 which is equal to $500,000.00 and for the offer to be good seven (7) days from receipt of purchase agreement and if Kevin Nelson declines the county will purchase twenty-five (25) acres from parcel number 20-016-0050 from Harry Brands.
MSP to approve going into closed session for labor negotiations pursuant to Minnesota Statute 13D.03.
MSP to approve coming out of closed session.
