The Fulda City Council met Monday night, April 2. In open forum, Ann Witzel asked about the Wood Duck Addition and what it would take to move more lots and in turn open more housing. The council said they have received varying answers from the housing authorities on the tax increment financing used for qualifying home buyers. More information will be sought.
The Fulda Fire Department will be painting fire hydrants this year and the tops would be color coded according to the amount of water pressure the line has. The method would be a visual check to finding additional water sources to fight a fire. Township fire rates charged by the fire department will increase from $165 to $185 plus a 2% increase per year each year after.
The city received a $10,000.00 grant for a new water well. It will take $5,000 for the engineering.
