Students from Fulda learned skills and knowledge to become a better community member, wage earner or leaders by attending the Minnesota Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) State Conference in Bloomington, MN from April 19-21, 2018. More than 1050 middle and high school students attended from throughout the state. This year’s theme was “To Leadership and Beyond.” Chapters from schools across the state competed in STAR events, participated in youth training workshops, and took part in general sessions led by student officers.
Fulda students took an active leadership role in the conference. Massen Kunerth served last year as the State Vice President of Service. He will continue this year as a State Officer in the role of Vice President of Outreach. Logan Clarke was the Southwest Area Secretary/Treasurer last year. At this year’s State Conference, Logan was named Southwest Area Vice President, and Emily Madison was named Treasurer. Fulda will have quite the group of young leaders this upcoming school year.
