Jen Anfinson is a Minnesota artist who resides in Paynesville, Minnesota. “I love being able to get up every morning and being creative. It’s the best job there is,” she commented at a fiber wrapping class sponsored by Fulda Memorial Library and held at Fulda City Hall on Tuesday afternoon.
With twelve students, Anfinson explained that fiber wrapping is choosing what you want to make. For this class, bracelets and necklaces were popular. The participants chose mostly leather strips, and embroidery thread in complimentary colors. Each student cut lengths of thread, preparing for the wrapping process. Just a dot of glue and tight wrapping of the first portion of the thread makes for a smooth beginning in fiber wrapping,
Anfinson answered questions from the students, making suggestions and watching as each piece became personalized by its maker.
