Fulda District School Nurse, Vicki Hansen, is looking forward to retirement and the opportunity to take time for traveling, quilting, and sewing whenever she wants.

Mrs. Hansen has been school nurse for twenty-four years, coming to the District in 1994. Originally from Canby, Minnesota, she attended the Swedish Hospital School of Nursing to earn her nursing degree.

She and her husband, Steve, moved to Worthington in 1985 and Mrs. Hansen worked with the Head Start program for five years and then with the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program for four years.

Wanting to achieve her Bachelor’s Degree, she enrolled in a nursing program that was brought to this area so that nurses could achieve a four-year-degree. (She graduated from the program the same year that her eldest son, Tom, graduated from high school.)
