It’s Been a Good Year – Knowledge, Pride, Success was the theme of the Fulda Elementary School Concert that was held on Friday afternoon in the gymnasium.
The concert began with a welcome by Destiny Henson and an African Tribal Greeting Song called “Funga Alafia”. Playing rhythm for the song instruments were Kevin Batres, Samantha Bultmann, Olivia Clarke, Destiny Henson, Irish Hollaha, Wyatt Meyeraan, Jadyn Surma, Mason Timmerman, and Hailey Vanden Bosch.
An audience sing-a-long was held with the songs sung being “You’re a Grand Old Flag”, “This Land is Your Land”, and “God Bless America”.
FES second and third Grade students sang “In the Pages of a Book”, “Knowledge is Power”, “It’s Been a Good Year”, and “Never Stop Learning”.
Their performance was followed by the Elementary Band who played “Triangle Concerto” featuring triangle soloist Mr. Grant Harms, and “Zombie Stomp”.
Kindergarten and first grade students performed “I Am a Person”, “I Care About Being Me”, “I Am a Promise”, and “I Can Be Anything”.
Playing recorders, fourth grade students played “Folk Song Mish Mash”. They were then joined by the fifth and sixth grade students. The choir sang “The Dream Starts Now”, “The Memories Remain”, and closed the concert with the song “Ready to Go”.
