School Board approves contracts for new hires

During Monday evening’s Fulda School Board meeting, a contract was approved for the hiring of Rachel Isder as the new school nurse to replace retiring nurse Vicki Hansen.

Sara Zins was hired as the Early Childhood Special Education teacher for the summer hours of the 2017-2018 school year. A contract hiring Zins for the 2018-2019 school year as the ECSE teacher was also approved. A Joint Powers Agreement was also approved between Fulda (75 percent of time) and Murray County Central (25 percent of time) Districts for Zins services as an ECSE teacher.

The school board accepted the resignation of Will Riley who has served as a custodian with the Fulda District for twelve years.  Also accepted was the resignation of Librarian Paraprofessional Brenda Sauer who has been with the District for 16 years.

Head Custodian, Theresa Roberts, informed the board about the Nobles Cooperative Electric Project that will be done this summer. Low-hanging overhead wires will be put into the ground running along the east side of the track and more.  The work is to be done in June. Approval for the project was given by the board with a request that contracts be obtained.

The school board designated Superintendent Loy Woelber as the Identified Official with Authority to authorize user access to the Minnesota Department of Education secure websites for Fulda Public Schools.
