Eli Becker, a versatile three-sport (football, hockey, baseball) junior athlete at Heron Lake-Okabena High School, pitched a no-hitter at Edgerton last Tuesday (May 15) sparking the HL-O / Fulda Coyotes to a 10-0 victory over the Flying Dutchmen of Edgerton / Southwest Minnesota Christian.

Becker kept the Dutchmen off the bases and off the scoreboard as he effectively mixed his pitches and ended the five-inning contest with seven strikeouts, including three in a row in a 1-2-3 fourth inning.

“Eli pitched a terrific game,” praised HLOF head baseball coach Chad Knutson. “He was in control, other than walking two straight guys in the second inning which loaded the bases after the first guy got on base on an error. But, he worked out of that jam with a strikeout and a nice catch by Taylor DeWall at shortstop to end the inning.
