Fulda’s 2018 Memorial Day observance began Military services began at 7:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery and then moved onto Seward Cemetery. From there, they were held at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery. About 8:30 a.m., services were held at Prairie Hill Cemetery north of Fulda.
The parade lined-up at 8:45 a.m. at the Fulda Elementary School with the parade beginning at 9:00 a.m. The line-up started with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9017, American Legion Post 318, and Ladies Auxiliaries Color Guard. They were followed by the Fulda High School Band, students, families and friends.
Musical selections and reading by students and area citizens were part of the Memorial Day Program that took place at the high school immediately following the parade.
Participating in the observance of Memorial Day were the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9017, American Legion Post 318, and the Ladies Auxiliaries Color Guard, along with the Fulda High School Band, students, and many family members and friends.
Following the program, Fulda FCCLA chapter sponsored a luncheon that was held in the Fulda High School Cafeteria.
