A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD
May 22, 2018, 8:30 a.m. Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present: Commissioners Kluis, Gunnink, Jens, and Thiner. Also present Aurora Heard and Travis Smith. Excused Absence: Commissioner Magnus.
MSP to approve the agenda as modified.
MSP to approve consent agenda item number 1.
MSP to approve ditch contractor bills for County Ditches No. 22(2), 29(2), 76A and Judicial Ditches No. 8, 11 totaling $12,850.88
MSP to approve the renewal of the 2018 Seasonal Liquor “On Sale” and Seasonal Sunday “On Sale” License to Andrew Kopperud d/b/a Painted Prairie Vineyard for the license period June 1, 2018 to October 31, 2018.
MSP to approve ditch inspection report for County Ditches No. 27(2), 62, 81 and Judicial Ditches No. 3, 8(2), 10, 14.
Open Forum/Public Comment – Several members of the public were present and commented regarding the County Board’s request for Sheriff Telkamp to resign and the Interim position.
MSP to approve accepting Mark Nipp as the Sheriff’s Office Interim Operational Director.
MSP to accept the 2018-2019 Radio Marketing Proposal of $241.03 per month for advertising on KJOE 106.1 and KISD 98.7, further moving to authorize the Board Chair to sign the agreement on behalf of the county.
MSP to approve hiring the following seasonal positions: Bryanne Bose, Seasonal Museum Assistant and Wesley Biren, Seasonal Surveying Technician.
MSP to approve adding purchasing a 2017 tag manufacturing bucket for the highway department.
MSP to approve the purchase of a 2017 Tag manufacturing 210DC72 bucket in the amount of $4,800 from RDO Equipment Company from account number:
MSP to approve the Commissioner Vouchers for the period of May 6, 2018 to May 19, 2018.
