1920-HELEN BELTZ-2018
Helen Beltz, 98, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, June 9, 2018. Born in 1920 in Buxton, N.D. Helen graduated from Buxton High School in 1938. She attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. She then attended the University of North Dakota and received her degree in Dietetics. Helen accepted a position at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, OR where she remained for several years. Upon returning to Buxton, ND to teach, she became reacquainted with and married Richard N. Beltz in 1950. Richard passed away in 2009. They had three children – Greg (Tracy) Beltz, daughter Katherine Tindell and Jon Beltz (deceased).
After living in Colorado for several years, they returned to the midwest, moving to Fulda in 1957. They remained here for over 60 years.
Helen began teaching Home Ec. at the Fulda High School in 1964 until her retirement in 1978.
She is survived by her son Greg (Tracy) Beltz, daughter Kay Tindel, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
An internment service is being planned for a later date in Buxton, ND.
