A Wednesday evening fire destroyed a shed at the home of Leroy and Jan Baumgard.
Fulda Fire Department was called to fight the fire which Fulda Fire Chief David Baumhoefner said was the result of circumstances. “The home owner said that he had finished mowing the lawn and pulled the mower into the shed, shut it off, locked the door and went into the house,” Chief Baumhoefner said. “About ten minutes later, his wife noticed the smoke in the backyard. At first they thought it was fog and then realized that it was smoke.”
It is possible that the fire was caused by a spark from the machinery.
