Clearing of invasive native trees and other overgrown vegetation has been being done on the banks of Fulda lake near St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church. The work is being done by a group of local volunteers and a team from Conservation Corps.

Local volunteers included Jonathan Curry, Colby Pack, Tim Roberts, Dave Thiner, Doyle Abrahamson, Doug Tiesler, Luke Isder, Bill Fuerstenberg, Jesse Ruchtaeschel, Claire Reith, and John Maertens.   This group worked together on Tuesday and were anticipating the arrival of the team from Conservation Corps on Wednesday.

The team from Conservation Corps arrived early Wednesday morning, joining in the work that was being done.

Members of the Conservation Corps team were Kayla Harrington, Melissa Klecker, and Michael Barger. Two other team members, Kelsey Brock and Gabe Vasquez, were finishing a project on Jack Creek, just a few miles south of Fulda, on Wednesday. They joined their team on the banks of Fulda lake on Thursday.
