A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD

July 24, 2018, 8:30 a.m. Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present: Commissioners Kluis, Gunnink, Jens, Magnus, and Thiner. Also present Ronda Radke, Excused Absence: Travis Smith.

MSP to approve the agenda as modified.

MSP to approve the minutes from July 17, 2018 as amended.

MSP to cease pumping water from Lake Elsie as of today July 24, 2018 and remove the pump.

MSP to approve ditch contractor bills for County Ditches No. 22(2), 29 and Judicial Ditches No. 6(2), 8, 20A, 21 and admin totaling $14,190.18.

MSP to approve payments on the Courts Building Roof Project to Horizon Roofing, Inc as follows: Pay Application 2: $26,454.74 and Pay Application 3: $32,834.05

MSP to approve ditch inspection report for County Ditches No. 20, 29, 50 and Judicial Ditches No. 14 and 17.

MSP Resolution No. 2018-07-24-01, Resolution Approving State of Minnesota Joint Powers Agreements with the County of Murray on Behalf of its Sheriff’s Office.

MSP to approve appointing Jason Kirchner to the EDA Board to fulfill Ralph Knapp’s term.

MSP to approve the reclassification of regular part time Deputy Sheriff Prestin Parker to regular full time Deputy Sheriff effective July 24, 2018 as a result of a full time Deputy Sheriff resignation in June 2018.

MSP to approve the reclassification of Intermittent Deputy Devin Gillette to a regular part time Deputy Sheriff as a result of the reclassification of Deputy Prestin Parker effective July 24, 2018.

MSP Resolution 2018-07-24-02, Resolution for Peace Officer Requesting Coverage in the Public Employees Police and Fire Fund

MSP to approve Wellness funds to be used to pay the registration fee of $20.00 for any eligible employee to participate in the Fair 5K Cowbell Run/Walk on Saturday, August 18, 2018.

Open Forum/Public Comment – No members of the public were present.

MSP to approve the updated letter to the Weaver Consultant Group regarding the Certificate of Need for the Nobles County Landfill on their behalf. A table detailing the estimated tons of municipal solid waste that will be generated and sent from Murray County to the Nobles County Landfill from 2018 to 2027.
