Now is the time for Fulda to come together as a community! Our town has SO much to offer and is a GREAT place to raise a family! Houses in Fulda are selling fast and the Wood Duck Addition is now available to ALL prospective builders, which means even more families will be moving to and living in Fulda. The bottom line is that the community of Fulda – YOUR community NEEDS YOU!
On August 21st, the Fulda Area Community Club is having a special event in the Community Center with the goal of attracting new members and volunteers to help with future events and to continue to promote our City of Fulda and what it has to offer. EVERYONE is invited and encouraged to attend!
What is the Fulda Area Community Club? It is the organization that currently sponsors events like the Fulda Wood Duck Festival, The Parade of Lights, and the Fall Crafts Bazaar. Years ago, the Community Club and its activities were primarily handled by the local businesses. As time has evolved, we all have watched our local businesses decline in numbers, yet our population has stayed mostly steady. To maintain these events, this has shifted the work load more to the side of our community members and volunteers. We are quickly reaching the point where our faithful and dedicated volunteers would like to step back and encourage new people and ideas to come forward and keep the excellent traditions of the past alive, well, and growing into new and even better events!
We are ALL very busy in today’s world and volunteering doesn’t really pay very well! But, speaking from experience, the smile of a Fulda resident, young or old, during one of our events is priceless and could never be assigned a monetary value!
Do we still need organizations like the Fulda Area Community Club? Absolutely! This organization displays a pride in our community as well as care and concern for our residents. It provides an opportunity to volunteer and to promote and show visitors to our events what a special place Fulda, Minnesota is!
As the saying goes, “Many hands make for light work!”
Please consider attending this event and pass this on to everyone who has a stake in and a love for your city of Fulda! Remember to RSVP with the Fulda City Hall at 425-2504 to help with the meal plans.
