Bright sunshine, happy smiles, the aroma of grilled hamburgers, and the company of others made for a memorable Maple Lawn Golden Oldies Golf Outing. It was held on Tuesday, August 14th, at Town and Country Golf Club.

Residents from Maplewood Court, Maple Lawn Senior Care, and Mapleview  Estates were transported to Town and Country Golf Club via golf carts and the tour cart from Maple Lawn Senior Care Center. With pickup starting at 10 a.m., at one time there were more than ten carts lined up waiting for the residents to board a cart and enjoy  a scenic ride to Town and Country Golf Club.

Upon arriving at their destination, the residents, along with a host of staff and volunteers, enjoyed a picnic lunch. On the menu were hamburgers (tomatoes, onions and pickles, creamy cucumbers and fresh sweet corn (off the cob).  The tomatoes, cucumbers and sweet corn were grown in the Laurie Hermeling family garden.
