Paula (Goedtke) Lutz has been hired by the Fulda School Board as the new Fulda High School Librarian. She is a 1976 graduate of FHS.
Following high school graduation, Paula attended Augustana College, Sioux Falls, SD, earning a degree in the German language. From 1980 until 1997 she lived in Germany where she worked as a secretary, a professional opera singer and was a stay at home mom.
In 1997 she returned to the United States and continued her education at Augustana as a non-traditional students. She holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum with an emphasis with English as a Second Language. “I still struggle with my English because when you live in a different country and speak their language, it becomes second nature. I wanted my English to be strengthened so I returned to college. I knew that I would be a better teacher for the kids. I knew because I had to fight with re-learning the language myself,” Mrs. Lutz commented.
