Morgan Gehl won a pair of high school cross country races in the past week and her winning effort at Tracy last Thursday (September 6) helped the well-balanced Murray County Central / Fulda girls win the team title of the Panther Invitational.
Gehl’s winning time at Tracy was 19:06.1 over the 5,000-meter course, 29 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. At Marshall Monday (September 10), she clocked a winning time of 18:45.6, winning that 5,000-meter race by 20 seconds.
The Rebels packed four girls close together throughout both races, winning at Tracy with 58 points and finishing a strong third at Marshall’s high-powered meet (behind Class AA schools, Marshall and Waconia) with 130 points.
