Jerry’s Jottings 9-12-2018

Fall is in the air. There has been a change in the past week that can be easily felt. It’s a slight crispness in the morning and an almost chill at night. The official start of autumn is ten days away but Mother Nature sets her own schedule. There will be plenty of nice days yet this year and we will enjoy them. School is in process, the crops are maturing, the days are shorter and winter is coming.

I live my life with no regrets.

It’s one of the benefits of not being

able to remember things.

Someone knocked at my door last evening. When I opened it, I saw a guy from Domino’s holding a chicken pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and onion rings.

“I haven’t ordered any pizza,” I said. “This must be a mistake.”

“No, it’s not,” he replied. “Your neighbor forgot his Facebook password and wanted to show you what he was eating for dinner.”

“Love does not consist in gazing at each other but in looking outward together in the same direction.”
